We Wests are very cultured

Today we Wests did what we do best .......... enjoy museums. We entered through the hidden entrance off to the side of the glass pyramid where there was no line. We went to the info desk and got the map and asked if there was a top ten, there wasn't but there was a top six on each floor. We started off looking around the the bottom floor where there wasn't much interesting stuff until we walked around the base of the fortress that was the Louvre's beginning. Then there was the Louvre history exhibit which also was good. After the bottom floor we went up and saw the Greek sculpture exhibit where there were a lot sculptures depicting gods, heroes and their stories which were good, but who could go without saying the stunning beauty of the Venus De Milo was the best.

After that we went to the ancient Egypt exhibits where we saw a sphinx, the statue of Ramses II and a statue of the seated scribe. On our way to the paintings we saw Winged Victory. In the painting section we saw many large paintings like the Coronation of Napoleon II and the wedding feast but non were greater than the smile of the Mona Lisa.

In Napoleon's apartment (for some time he lived in the Louvre) it was very lavish and the crazy thing is we found bunny slippers, the thing about his bunny slippers is that they were real dead stuffed bunnies that he would wear on his feet.

The Louvre certainly lives up to its name.
