JWOC glory

For the last two days we have been in Kosice to support the Tassie orienteers who made the Australian team for the Junior World Orienteering Championship (JWOC). We caught up with the Nankervis' the first night and went out for dinner.



The next morning was not such a pleasant experience as we were rained and thundered on that night and the rain didn't want to stop in the morning. So we scurried to get ready and go to the orienteering event. After half an hour at the event the rain cleared up and it actually started to get hot! We saw both our Tassie runners come through the spectator control and finish.

After that we waited to see the only Australian (Ian Lawford) to make it into the A final to come through. Once that was over we said our good byes to the Nankervis' and made plans to have dinner with the Buckerfields that night.
