Unfortunately I programmed Lascaux into the GPS (which was what all the guide books kept referring to) rather than Grotto de Lascaux, so we ended up in a pretty village about an hour away from where we needed to be.

(Not Lascaux but representative of the many villages we drove through, only this road was not single lane).
After having seen the cave and far more of the Vézère Valley than we intended I didn't dare suggest we continue the 25 km to Sarlat. Instead I set the GPS for the closest camp ground to our current position in
Montignac.
Which is how we arrived at "Camping Le Paradis". Definitely a 5 star establishment with its river setting, beautiful flower gardens and 3 pools. You could even rent a fridge (fridges, eskies and ice which are common place in Australia just do not feature in Europe).
Early morning photo of some people fishing in the river (for Grandad).

The rather swish Sanitaire (toilet, shower and cleaning block).

Oh! And they did do free wine tasting at the outdoor bar!
