Jessie would be so jealous

Today we went to the York's Sweet Story exhibition. It turns out that York was the capital of chocolate in the UK. The exhibition explains were chocolate began with the ancient Mayans, who the founding families inYork were (e.g. Rowntrees and Terry's) and what they made. Did you know that KitKat and Smarties both originated in York? Then we got to watch how they make chocolates and how they fill the chocolate shells with caramel and ganache. Best of all we got to sample the results. It was an enjoyable experience but I have to say the old Cabury's factory tours were better... And you got to eat more chocolate.
