The picture above is typical of the camp grounds we stayed at in Ireland. No throwing your tent up where ever the whim takes you. Instead pitches were marked out in an orderly fashion with neat little hedgerows. Fortunately the toilet facilities were usually not far away as it would not be possible to sneak out in the middle of the night and have a quick pee behind a bush and there is also little cover of darkness. We are amazed by the amount of daylight. Typically it does not get dark until 10pm and then it seems to be light again by 4am. Could be earlier but my eyes are closed then!
Contrast this with the slightly more casual Scottish approach where you erect your tent in the meadow at the back of the orderly caravan park. We had sheep in the paddock either side and this fantastic hill (Craig) behind. Toilets - a long walk!

Following you with great interest - and great frustration trying to add a comment. Hope this (about attempt 5) works.
