I guess that ship has sailed!

After our morning in Cardiff we drove on to Fishguard to catch the pre-booked ferry to Ireland. Arriving with time to spare we checked out the Ferry terminal (no other cars yet!) and then drove up the hill to Goodwick to enjoy the views as we ate lunch and Mark sipped on his Welsh Double Dragon Ale.

The distant honking of ship horns meant that it must be time to make a move. Too bad it actually meant that I had misread the booking invoice and our Ferry was already well out of sight by the time we squeezed ourselves back down the narrow winding roads.

Okay, so if you are a pessimist it also means that it has cost an extra £30 to get on the next ship at 2:45 a.m which will mean not much sleep again. But for the rest of us who prefer to see the glass as half full it means:
1. We won't get wet sleeping in a tent tonight
2. We wouldn't have got to spend the afternoon exploring the local area and getting free Welsh lessons from the lady in the post office.
